Welcome to the public from Employee Member, Rob Stefanik of SSCOPE at our May 8th Rockin’ the Ridge public event
“Thank you. My name is Robert Stefanik. I hae just a few words to share with you today. Firstly, I would like to thank Bob, Kevin, Walter, and the entire crew at SSCOPE for giving me this opportunity. I am a member of SSCOPE, which I have been since September 2009.
SSCOPE is a place that provides and facilitates an atmosphere of excellence, dignity, and belonging.
SSCOPE is where we all contribute to the lives of each other, with work, compassion, and a place of gathering for all people.
The soul, and mission of SSCOPE is to provide meaningful casual part-time work for all Manitobans who desire a healthy apparatus to earn a living on their own time, and on their unique efforts, where there is a mental health, a mental illness distinction.
Mental illness begins when you isolate yourself from family, friends, and the community. Mental illness is conquered by facilitating a healthy lifestyle which consists of you becoming active in your transition from aloneness, into the reality of your mental health in all situations.
Conversation, creativity, and inspiration are the tools in overcoming the burden of all forms of mental illness. The engagement in your everyday life are symbolic of the issues you face, indeed what we face, together as a people with mental illness.
Your internal and external daily activities invigorates the community, friends and family. Together we come together as a unified person for change, and progress, for an appropriate distinction of mental health, and mental illness in our lives.
A distinction for SSCOPE, a distinction for you.
